This First Look for The Gate of Firmament introduces us to the main character, Yu, and his family. Yu lives in a small village that kinda looks like Ewoks might have made it, and he is apparently in charge of setting up traps? In this short gameplay video, he sets up like thirty traps. This dude loves traps.

In this gameplay for The Xuan Yuan sword, I wander about the village talking to people, pet a giant buffalo thing, get some sides quests, find some items, and then finally move onward to the first real quest. I have to investigate the bamboo forest because a trap was set off! (traps traps traps).

I get to the bamboo forest, but turns out my sister followed me! Shame on her! I then have my very first battle and experiment with the fighting system, before defeating the monster I had trapped.

So Far, The Gate of Firmament, The Xuan-Yuan sword has been pretty fun! It is a brand new PC RPG put out by a Chinese development team, DOMO Studio. The non-english name for the game is: 軒轅劍外傳穹之扉 in case you were wondering :P
