2,651I stumbled upon absolute gold in a charity shop! This halogen oven, which I’m calling the Original Air Fryer, was only £5! So today we’re putting this kitchen gadget to this test by cooking a roast chicken in a halogen oven. I’ve got all sorts of ideas for this one for future recipe tests, so send any suggestions over - maybe I’ll try the halogen oven vs an air fryer in future? Ingredients list:
1 Medium chicken
100g butter, softened mixed with 1tbsp herbs of your choice
1 lemon, halved plus the zest
250g new potatoes
4 carrots, peeled and sliced thin
100g green beans
1 onion, sliced
1/2 cauliflower, florets chopped evenly
2tbsp olive oil
1tbsp herbs of your choice - rosemary / thyme work well
Chicken gravy granules to make with reserved chicken juices
