Yes, The Godfather had its own video game. And it wasn't a disaster. In fact… it was pretty good.
I played it back in the day without expecting much, and I found myself in a GTA-style open world, full of shootouts, extortion, (literal) respect, and scenes that echoed those of the original film. It even featured Marlon Brando's voice. Crazy.
In this video, I tell you how it was made, what was so special about it, why EA got involved in all this, and what makes it one of those forgotten gems of the PS2 era.
