The Good, the Bad and the Silent Review of Dying Light 2: Stay Human / With AMD Radeon RX 7600
Got this game for a while during the "free weekend event" and unfortunately I have missed the 50% off deal but I have gathered enough clips to stitch together a 25 minutes video with important and strange things. I went for "silent review" which means I do not talk but write stuff on the screen.
Reviewing it did not convince me to buy it at full price so I'll wait for another deal.
The story is during a post apocalyptic pandemic that started during the first game: Dying Light One. The entire world is infected apart from some enclaved cities, split by gangs and communities which apart from fighting against the infected, they kill each other too. Humans. No wild animals (yet). Ah, also no weapons. It seems all are gone and you are stuck with bats, pipes and bows. It's a zombie smashing action game, an adventure with skipped parkour movement with a well defined skill set which gets developed during the game. A first person RPG.
Our hero is a pilgrim, hired to pick up and/or deliver stuff from one client to another across vast territories. Well, at first, then it gets stuck in a city in search for his sister. His past is a bit blurry and you get glimpse of it from time to time with odd short repetitive (somehow) stories that I wanted to skip.
The game brings a lot of unique activities like sneaking behind the infected or jumping from one building to another with high-end parkour skills. As mentioned, this game is melee, no firearms. At least the most part of this game. An update brought firearms along with an interesting side story about why we had no weapons so far and why they are discovered now. I have not fired any gun yet. Must play more. Waiting for another sale deal. I kinda want to meet Rosario Dawson on the game so I'll definitely buy it.
Every game has glitches and defects but this game is full of them. From raining everywhere (inside the house or under the objects) to levitating persons or fire, it makes this game interesting and funny. I have marked few of them so follow the chapters.
NPCs have dull dialogs, sometimes useless. Even the main character speaks nonsense sometimes. Another one: If UV light is so important why our hero doesn't carry one all times?
Well, I am sure there is more to write about this twisted game but I’ll stop here and let the video to tell more.
