The Great Pacific garbage patch | documentation | ISWIsion21
Plastic is part of our everyday life but what happens with all the bottles and bags when we're done using it? Currently more than 150 million tons of plastic waste floating in the ocean and counting. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch between Hawaii and California is the biggest of currently 5 known garbage patches in our oceans, where different currents from north and south meet and form huge surface swirls which collect the garbage floating in the water.
