The Great Vault Quest - Objectives and Weekly Chest Rewards in The War Within
3The Great Vault is a weekly reward system in The War Within, offering gear for completing Raids, Mythic+, and World Content. This guide covers unlocking rewards, improving item levels, and options for unwanted choices. The Great Vault is located in Dornogal's bank.
Note: PvP rewards have been replaced by World Content in The War Within.
Weekly, players can select one item from their Vault after reset, based on completed content. Items are randomly selected from relevant loot tables. Any slot can potentially drop Tier Gear.
The Great Vault: Weekly Reward Chest
Objectives to add choices:
Raids: Defeat 2, 4, or 6 bosses
Dungeons: Complete 1, 4, or 8 dungeons
World: Complete 2, 4, or 8 Delves or World Activities
The Great Vault: World Objectives
Complete Delves and World objectives to add World options to your Great Vault. You can choose only one item, but completing more objectives increases your choices.
World Events match Tier 1 Delve item levels. Higher Delves offer better rewards.
- Complete 2 Delves/World Activities: Add 1 loot piece
- Complete 4 Delves/World Activities: Add 2 loot pieces
- Complete 8 Delves/World Activities: Add 3 loot pieces
Eligible activities: Events, Weekly Quests, and Assignments
The Great Vault: Alternative Rewards
If you dislike all loot rewards from your Great Vault, you can choose Algari Token of Merit instead.
Max capacity: 12 Algari Token of Merit
Rewards:
• 2 for one objective
• 4 for two objectives
• 6 for three or more objectives
Use tokens to purchase items from Ardgaz near the Great Vault:
• Nerubian Gemweaver: Add socket to War Within Season 1 item (Helms, Bracers, Belts)
• Golden Valorstone: 75 Valorstones
• Triumphant Satchel: 15 Carved Harbinger Crests
• Celebratory Pack: 15 Runed Harbinger Crests
• Chest of Gold: 1000 gold
Notes:
• Ensure bag space before claiming (12 token limit)
• Seasonal currency; resets each season
• Unused tokens become vendorable for 500 each at season end
