In this video I discuss why we should refer to the 1983 to 1985 video game crash as a "game console recession" rather than the death of the video game industry so many refer to it as.

THis period of time was the genesis for MMO games, 3D Games, Sports games. Computer and arcade games grew in popularity during this period. While the NES did help bring back console gaming they certainly didn't save computer gaming!
