More about cry of fear: Cry of Fear is a psychological/survival horror first-person shooter video game created by Team Psykskallar. Though originally a modification for the video game Half-Life it is now a stand-alone product available on Steam.
The player controls Simon Hanriksson, a 19 year old male who is hit by a car in the game's opening sequence but wakes up in an unknown alley shortly afterwards. The player must navigate the city solving puzzles and fighting monsters to find out what has happened. The game features several firearms for the player to use, but the ammunition is scarce and the inventory space is limited. The game switches between normal gameplay levels representing the city and surrounding areas and "nightmare" levels, similar to those found in Silent Hill series of games.
The game started being developed in 2008, sometime after Afraid of Monsters DC was released. The team went through many inconveniences during the development, along with being busy with high school and family. Many fans started to losing hope of Cry of Fear ever being released, mainly because of the many delays that the (by then) mod had. Team Psykskallar limited themselves to show screenshots and some videos which would not spoil too much the game. Finally, after 4 long years, Cry of Fear was released 22/02/2012.
During the 4 years of development of Cry of Fear, many ideas were scrapped, while others were improved. For example, the phone's flashlight was initially made to illuminate an area around you, but it was later decided that it would only illumante an area in front of you. Another example is the switchblade, which had a different model and had much faster attack speed. Another improvement made was in the inventory system, since initially it had 12 slots and the ammo used 1 slot, but it was later reduced to 6 slots only.
If you like to play the game go and buy Half life 1 and download this AMAZING mod http://www.cry-of-fear.com/downloads.php
