For those that thought I'd end my month without another review...consider yourselves in for THE BIGGEST WAKE-UP CALL OF YOUR LIFE! This time, it's on yet another early-yet-underrated Genesis title, TRAMPOLINE TERROR by the combined efforts of Masaya [c/o Extreme, formerly under NCS' jurisdiction] and the short-lived Dreamworks [c/o Toy Soldiers, headquartered in Minnetonka, MN - and NO it's NOT to be confused with Spielberg's studio]...the same people responsible for Target Earth (aka Assault Suits Leynos - released that very same year, which I reviewed alongside Cybernator almost 2 years ago)!

It revolves around the efforts of a humanoid daredevil out to save Planet Ahas and its rightful queen from the clutches of the Balos Empire and its' 33-story superfortress comprised of explosive grids, otherworldly beings & mech-creatures, disappearing/reappearing tiles, teleport-tiles and...who could've guessed? Durable yet fragile color-changing trampolines which deteriorate after turning red!

By now, the premise should be obvious - walking over the floor grids to set them off on each floor to advance while either dispatching or avoiding each volatile-as-f__k adversary...which many might see as a total snore-fest in practice, vs. a unique idea on paper. OK, I GET IT...it's not as unique as Hudson's Bomberman, - but seriously, I strongly suggest giving this underrated title a jumpstart or 2!

TRIVIA - In Japan, this was intended for release under the title of 'Explode Star'...but was eventually cancelled despite a recent ad being publicized.
