The Hardcore Retro God (Review #37 - Labyrinth)
2"Where everything is possible and nothing is what it seems..." indeed! By now, everyone's familiar with the Henson/Lucas spectacle from almost 30 years ago, right?
Experience it yet again, like you've never experienced it before - on the Famicom, and from my own POV no less! For those unaware of the synopsis, Sarah's (Jennifer Connelly) baby bro, Toby (Froud) has been kidnapped by the Goblin King Jareth (The LATE, GREAT David Bowie)...and you're given 13 hours (or in this game's case - minutes) to solve his massive-as-hell maze before the penultimate becomes one of the latter's kind for all eternity.
"Such a pity," right? It's also a huge pity it NEVER SAW THE LIGHT OF DAY OUTSIDE JAPAN (considering it was meant to stand out from the other adaptations, namely the MSX version by Pack-in-Video of Rambo/Knight Rider/Predator/Die Hard fame, and the Apple II & Commodore 64 versions by Activision/the short-lived LucasArts...RIP), WTF ACTIVISION/ATLUS/TOKUMA/HENSON?!
