On the ALJ series: ALJ2 will be the last entry for the foreseeable future. We didn't realize how few and far in between replay servers would be compared to recording the original in 2020, and if this trend continues it will be impossible to look at making any long-form interview-based content in the future. (Out of every ten servers listed as replay enabled, only 2-3 were actually working, most had no players, and for those that did we needed them to have mics and be willing to talk).
On top of this, the original ALJ was a dream project we always said we wouldn't touch unless we could improve on the concept by far, and ALJ2 hits every beat I wished I could have with ALJ1. As proud as I am of the series, and as thankful as I am for the reception all of the videos have gotten, this will mark the end of the 6+ min interview compilations. ALJ2 took around 100 hours of recording almost daily across three weeks, with maybe 1/20 servers yielding usable footage, and plenty of others full of things I can't show on youtube that we reported and moved on. It gets incredibly draining to shoot, and after timestamping eighty replays (4000+ words worth) and about a hundred hours of editing I was ready to be done with this format for good.
I still have some ideas for the characters to appear in other ways, but as for now this is it for the longer stuff. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments.
