Explosion Pogo is a Hollow Knight speedrunning trick that enables the player to skip a section of the map leading to Mantis Claw, the game's walljump ability. This trick saves a solid 20 seconds over the previous route, and has advanced and evolved leading to numerous variations over time. In this video, I'll be discussing the evolution of the skip and how players began to try and save time with it as their runs became more optimized.

One mistake in my explanation in the slash damage tank section (was tired, whoops): The projectile is explodable with the nail *before* it slows down. Once it slows down, you can safely pogo it without it exploding.
