The House of Rage (SORR Mod) Gameplay Preview
15Imagine the atmosphere and setting of Splatterhouse with the gameplay of Streets of Rage.
Please note that all gameplay in this video is of a work in progress mod and does not reflect the final product.
Although SORRmaker is designed to just be a stage creator, I wanted to make something that felt like more of its own game. To get to grips with how SORRmaker works (as it is very poorly documented) I gave myself a goal- to recreate Splatterhouse 3. As I have become more confident with the software, the completed mod will stray far from Splatterhouse 3. It would be easy to make a very long game by repeating backgrounds but one thing I admired about SH3 is how varied each individual room is. The timer in each room is designed to recreate the timed conditions of SH3 (although the consequence of time running out is different to say the least).
