In cybersecurity, practitioners often focus on the technical side of adversaries: what forensic artifacts we see, what infrastructure the adversaries are using, and what we see on hosts and networks. In this keynote, Katie will explain why it's so important to our community to remember that there are humans behind the keyboard who are targeting human victims. She will share some recent trends in what adversaries are doing to compromise victims and how they have used human ingenuity to adapt their methods to be more successful.
