Academy Award-winning visual effects artist Ben Grossman has worked on dozens of successful film projects over the course of his career. In this video, he discusses key skills necessary to making the film production pipeline run as smoothly as possible. Tips include learning to communicate clearly and effectively, taking notes and synthesizing information, and how to present yourself as a professional (not an amateur).
Ben Grossmann is a visual effects supervisor based out of Los Angeles. His many projects include ‘Star Trek Into Darkness,’ for which he received an Academy Award nomination, and Martin Scorcese’s ‘Hugo,’ for which he won an Academy Award in 2012. In 2014, Ben co-founded the visual development firm MAGNOPUS.
