The Incredible Hulk for GG/SMS is a decent side-scrolling action game published by U.S. Gold and developed by Probe Entertainment (who also adapted "Bram Stoker's Dracula" for GG and SMS). As usual, you play as "The Hulk", the super-powered alter ego of the amazing physicist, Dr. Bruce Banner. Your goal is to stop Hulk's arch-enemy, "The Leader", and his cohorts (Rhino, Tyrannus, Absorbing Man, and Abomination). Each level has a different staple of enemies (each with similar attack strategies) as well as boss at the end which requires a unique strategy in order to be defeated, and each stage also has a variety of routes that can be traversed (it's up to you to determine the best course to travel). The Hulk himself has a limited arsenal of attacks that can be unleashed, which depend on how much energy the Hulk has when fighting. The Hulk has high immunity to damage, but his energy will decrease even when he's not struck (just slower) and you have to pick and choose which enemies to fight and which to avoid to save time.

Sometimes when the Hulk is injured (or if his energy runs too low), he will morph in Bruce Banner. When in your human state, you are generally defenseless and will likely be killed by the next thing that makes contact with you. However, Bruce can grab guns which can be used to keep enemies at bay or destroy barricades, as well as bust open containers and crawl, something Hulk can't do which can give you access to alternate routes or secrets. Generally speaking however, if you don't HAVE to use Bruce for something, then don't. The game features pretty good visuals with nice, large character/enemy sprites and a decent soundtrack and features five primary, labyrinthine levels. This is a video of the game in action. Enjoy.
