Thanks to the recent slew of movies making the Marvel comics universe so popular these days, I decided to check out this side-scroller starring the green behemoth.

In many respects it's a pretty decent effort by the team at probe, featuring some absolutely superb artwork. The quality of animation on the actual Hulk is really quite impressive, and the team definitely nailed the look of the character.

However, the gameplay doesn't quite live up to the same heights as the visuals.

The main problem is, despite having all the right ingredients, the combat just doesn't feel as satisfying as it ought to. Much of this is due to restricting the dash and more powerful attack moves to when your energy is at full (white zone) - lose those abilities and the game becomes considerably harder.

It's not a bad game, just that the pay-off you feel is coming any moment never quite materialises.
