Le joueur contrôle Itchy, la souris, et doit vaincre Scratchy, le chat, avec une variété d'armes. Itchy porte un maillet par défaut, mais peut ramasser des armes supplémentaires à des niveaux particuliers. Chacun des sept niveaux se déroule dans un lieu fictif différent et est conçu comme un labyrinthe de portes et de plates-formes. Après avoir vaincu Scratchy, il reviendra généralement avec un engin spécial pour attaquer Itchy, et doit donc être vaincu à nouveau.

RétroGaming 2.0 ;0)Presents you "The Itchy and Scratchy Game"Unreleased for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, Itchy & Scratchy is a single player platform sidescroller. The player controls Itchy, the mouse, and must defeat Scratchy, the cat, with a variety of weapons. Itchy caries a default mallet, but can pick up additional weapons on particular levels. Each of the seven levels takes place in a different fictional location and is designed as a maze of doors and platforms. After defeating Scratchy, he usually will return with a special contraption to attack Itchy, and must therefore be defeated again.
