The JimRPG Show Episode 9 - George Floyd Protests, Black Lives Matters
2Welcome to Episode 9 of The JimRPG Show. This week we're going to tackle the issue of systemic racism first and we're going to talk about the George Floyd murder and Black Lives Matter. I feel like everybody should speak out on this, and this is not a time to deflect the issue. Now I think most people know about the details of George Floyd and that he was killed by four police officers, one of them having his knee on George's neck for 9 minutes. I can't really describe what its like to live under such racial prejudice, Australia has its own problems, but its just nowhere near as bad. So I can only give an outsider's perspective on the issue. Obviously you should all go check out as many black voices as you can on the internet, and I'll leave some links down below in the description. But at the very least its important that everybody chips in and discusses the issue and that includes my channel. I talk about the root causes of racism and how in my opinion its tied to inequalities of society, which is the manifestation of unregulated capitalism. The people that control the system, don't want it to change. It's our job to make them change. What we can do to tackle such powerful forces? And I wanted to also relate it back to gaming as well.
After that we get to some gaming topics such as Sega's Game Gear Micro, some game announcements including Project Cars 3 and Elite Dangerous: Odyssey and our hardware news features AMD and Intel news.
