THE JOLTEON INCIDENT (adjusted for epilepsy)
134This was originally produced on 25th May 2022 for my Jolteon video. It's one of the first occasions where DVs were proven to exist and cause Pokemon to lose entire Speed Tiers. The player with the Jolteon here got speed-screwed on live TV and lost as a result, I believe.
The TV show is 64 Mario Stadium, which broadcasted live competitive Pokemon battles from 1996-2000. Most episodes are lost media.
This version of the footage uses a program my friend Shellnuts made to reduce the Thunderbolt and Hyper Beam flashes to allow epileptic (and non-masochistic) viewers to watch it in full. Blizzard was not edited, and I believe that one is a bit flashy, but when I checked the frames, it fell into the UK legal limits, which in my experience are quite strict.
I'm mainly releasing this publicly as I've been sick all week - coming back from hospital at the time of writing this description - rather than having it in the depths of my archives. The YouTube algorithm is needlessly punishing to those who get sick, so...
