What's a Laxlocke???

The "Laxlocke" Rules:
[Routes]
1:Team must be built using the typing of either the LAST Rare or Energy card (which ever shows up first in the route) pulled from a single Pokémon TCG pack for every route.
The typing of the Rare card consists of both primary and secondary typing of that particular Pokémon. 
(This is because the typing of TCG cards are primarily the basics and doesn't consist of typings such as ground, flying, etc.) 
If the last card happens to be a trainer card, use the reverse holo if a rare instead.
If that too is a trainer card… you're screwed.)


Only one Pokémon may be caught in any given route and if there is no typing that corresponds with either card pulled, the area is considered to be forfeited and will be unable to catch an eligible Pokémon on that route.
If no encounters match the typings you may choose to use the reverse holo from that same pack you opened for that route.

If the Pokémon faints or flees before catching you can no longer catch an eligible Pokémon to add to your team on that route.

[Nicknames]
2: All Pokémon must be named after a nursery rhyme….
 ….Jk. It just has to be nicknamed.

[Deaths / Revives]
3: Pokémon are considered dead and unusable if it were to faint in or outside of battle for any reason.
If a hidden item found on the ground happens to be a revive you may choose to use it ONLY on the Pokémon in front of your team at the time of finding it and may not be used multiple times on the same Pokémon.

[White Out]
4: If your trainer whites out, player must continue with Pokémon (if any) from the PC.
If no Pokémon are available in the PC... well... you lost.

[Eggs/Fossils/Static]
5: An additional Pokémon TCG pack must be opened to correspond with the typing of the Pokémon that hatches from the egg, static encounter and Fossil. If the Pokémon's type doesn't correspond with either the Rare or Energy card, the Pokémon may not be added to the team and is considered unusable. (You may choose to use the Rare reverse holo typing as well only if the last rare is NOT a Pokémon)
An additional pack is not necessary for Pokémon that are giving to you by an NPC or if you choose to trade an NPC in game.

[Levels]
6: Level caps are in place up to 5 levels above the Gym leader's ACE Pokémon member. Up to 3 after 4th Gym and at Champs ace for the elite 4. Any Pokémon exceeding the level cap before facing a Gym, cannot be used until after the Gym leader is beaten.

[Items]
7: Any held items cannot be used prior to defeating the first gym.

[Last but not least]
