Once you finally leave the dark confines of the cave, you arrive outside in a beautiful sunlit area surrounded by towering colossal structures.

Up high on one of the cliffs is a windmill, its blades slowly turning in the wind. This is our first homage to Ico, which featured a windmill in one of its iconic levels - in fact, it's one of the most famous locations in Ico that players remember.

I was informed by a user named 'Tomi nator' that you can actually destroy this windmill with Trico's tail lightning! So it appears the windmill does have a small role to play in the game, although it makes no difference to the outcome of the story.
