TLDR: SSD loading time is 4.5x times faster than original PS3 HDD.

Long version:

After the game has been launched for the first time, some data are cached on the drive making the loading time much faster in both cases. SSD loads in 5 seconds, HDD loads in 15 seconds.

While playing on areas for the first time (no cached data associated on the drive), the loading time is sometimes so long for the HDD that it makes the game lag and characters seems to be freezing in cinematics. On SSD the loading time is fast enough to avoid this problem.

Tested on the latest PS3 firmware (4.84) and latest game version (1.11) available when this video was uploaded.
