Ever since the Season 1 finale of HBO’s hit series, The Last of Us, fans have been not-so-patiently awaiting Season 2. With a season that requires nearly a year of filming and strikes occurring for both the WGA and SAG-AFTRA, though, it feels as if Season 2 keeps getting pushed further and further away. While there’s still no set release date for the series’ second season, there’s been plenty of speculation about what Season 2 will entail. Season 1 was based on the video game of the same name. Now, many fans are guessing that season 2 will be based on the second installment of the video game, The Last of Us Part II.
