The Last Promise was created by Blazer and is a hack for Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword. This hack is a full length adventure filled with danger, some new items & classes as well as music, and a very well balanced difficulty curve.

You can head to the following site to keep up with the latest news regarding the hack and download the latest version of it:

ROM should be easy enough to find on your own.

At last, after a long journey, it's come to this.

The Constellation, also known as the post game, is huge. Anna explains things pretty well, but here's the main gist of it all.

First, your stats do not transfer over from the main game. Stinks, but that's how the dice rolls. Then again, my Rex on this playthrough of v2.0 capped three stats on his own by 20/20 (strength, speed, defense). That man alone would possibly break half of the levels in the post game, oh yes he would, heh.

Secondly, you'll acquire characters by going through the white stars dotted around the map and completing said map. It will not be easy, mark my words. The difficulty is quite high and you will fail quickly without proper strategy.

Thirdly, you can only have a max of 40 characters on your roster. To get rid of unwanted ones, you can either kill them off in combat or send them to the tile on the north central part of the map to wipe them away.

Lastly...fun. Lots of it here.

So, what do you get to start off this adventure with? A total of 25k gold and two characters at your disposal, Anakin & Shon.

While Anakin is the same stat wise as when he joined in the main game, Shon's base stats got buffed. His growths still are so-so at best, but this means he can be a viable combat unit for the first couple of stars.

The most important thing to do here is to have Shon visit the star in the extreme southeastern part of the map. This is where Jake resides which, if you remember the main story correctly, was the guy who made stellar weapons for a couple of our heroes. Here in the Constellation, his purpose is more or less the same...give you awesome things. In this case, he hands over Shon's Piercing Sword, something that you will need to make the first star possible to beat at low levels.

Before heading off to the first star, you should get each character their first level up since both start at 99 exp. The arena is in the extreme southwestern part of the map with the two stars on its north and east side serving as healing spots should you want to do an extended grinding session.

As for purchasing things, there are four shops. Two are vendors located next to Jake's star and two are weapon shops located in the extreme northwestern part of the map. Getting a Zanbato for Shon isn't a bad idea if you want to have a backup anti-cavalry weapon for him to use.

Next time...the real Last Promise begins.
