PARTS: Cyber Boogie (0:00-2:14), Ledge of Darkness (ledge) (2:14-3:21), Glory Road (3:21-3:36), Ledge of Darkness (pillars) (3:36-4:50 too late, 4:50-7:14 too early)

NOTES:
Lots of action! Hilarious screams galore! This is where The Lawnmower Man's deaths really shine (and not just Angelo's luster). These are on the time-critical interactive-movie levels, and if you don't do it right, the game lets you know. I still think that death whistle is eerie, and you can see what I mean by weird camera angles suggesting you've made a mistake. The screams are always kind of amusing, but much funnier when (as in recording these) you're not trying to win.

*** Cyber Boogie: Starts with the exact instance I could not pass when I thought up meant up (see LP notes). Note that some of these include voice commands while you die, as they're included in the music track. If you fail to shoot Jobe, you don't die right away; instead, he shoots you (and misses), then a wall shoots out from the side of the tunnel! (This is where it would be seen before the final CB.) If you make your way around that, you get another chance to shoot him, and failing that, he kills you. I never saw any of that until this week, because I did figure out the idea.
*** Ledge of Darkness (ledge): Just a small sampling. Enjoy the screaming; there will be a lot of it. I think every time a ball kills you, you get that long drifting sequence. Yeesh.
*** Glory Road: Aw, so close!
*** Ledge of Darkness (pillars): If you wait too long to move, it doesn't cycle; you just get swooped up by one of the triumvirate (or duumvirate + chimp) of terror. Well, Jake seems more fond of pushing. And each of them seems to guard one type of platform (stationary pillar, horizontal, vertical). But this explains both Rosco's hooting (while retaining the grunts too?!) and McKeen's sudden appearance before level 9 (since, while I died plenty on these levels, it was always by jumping too soon; only when I didn't realize there was a jump to make did anyone grab me). On the other hand, if you jump too early, the music and angle suddenly change, you (the player) wince at what's to come, and Angelo makes a terrible leap with a high level of slapstick appeal. There are several reasons I saved these for the end!
