The good news is that Kurt has no AOE attacks. One option is to use Earth Guard (you'll need max BP from FC) to negate his attacks. If you're carrying over quartz, you can use Earth Wall, Clock Down, and Clock Up Ex to make things easier. The orbs from a previous run can also help in matching his speed. Unlike me, you should park your characters 1 row down from the top of the tactics grid and 1 square away from the horizontal edge to prevent him from using his instant death move. Or equip Deathblow resistance if you're carrying over.
