The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Blind Run/100% Playthrough (Part 19)
Welcome back to more of my 100% Playthrough AND Blind Run of "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past!" We are now in Part 19!
In the previous episode, I managed to have CraigS1996Entertainment join me for co-commentary after I attempted having him over in Episode 12. However, I did not make a lot of progress because I only managed to collect one Piece of Heart (bringing my total to 13 Heart Pieces). I got stuck in the Lost Woods trying to find a certain collectible, but it turned out I wasn't supposed to even BE in the Lost Woods in the first place! The episode still counts because of both Craig's commentary AND that single Heart Piece.
So now, in this 19th episode, I will try to get some more collectibles. First, I will leave the Lost Woods and keep going all throughout Hyrule in the Light World until I eventually reach the correct area where I was supposed to get that certain item. I finally arrive at this spot, and meet up with a certain elf and some animals; they all move away, and then I dig that certain item. I pick up the Flute, which is more of an Ocarina.
Now that I collected this Ocarina, I will be returning to Kakariko Village, and I will be heading for the weather vane, where I will play it right in front and summon a certain bird. Because I have summoned that bird, I can play the Ocarina and warp to any location shown within the map of Hyrule; however, this will only work with the Light World, as it's not possible to summon this bird while in the Dark World.
Next, I will be going to the Blacksmiths' House near Kakariko Village; I will enter the hole nearby and, despite wasting a bit of time trying to get more items, I eventually use the Magic Powder and summon a friendly bat; this bat allows Link to have half the Magic consumed by each treasure (or, in the case of Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask, you actually get to use twice as much as Magic than before).
Now that I got the 1/2 Magic Bar shown on the screen, I will be leaving that small cavern and I wrongfully warp to the Desert of Mystery. I waste more valuable time here, even accessing the Desert Palace again. I lose some valuable time, and eventually decide to exit the desert.
I then go to a certain part of Hyrule and I play the Ocarina/Flute to warp to Lake Hylia; I enter the Pond of Happiness nearby, but decided not to bother with it for now (I DO need to access that pond later on as part of the 100% LP, but I'll save that for later).
I continue to get lost, but I eventually I decide to touch that platform to access the Dark World. I was proven right when I attempted playing the Ocarina, and you cannot warp anywhere here in the Dark World.
I end off this episode on a low note, because I use up a Fairy I had collected inside a Bottle and then I get another Game Over. I will respawn back at the Pyramid of Agahnim's Tower, and that's where I'll start off Episode 20.
Will I continue to make more progress and collect more items in the next part? Will I go for my next Dark World dungeon of the game?
See you guys next time!
