The object of this game is to break into Hyrule Castle to rescue & free Princess Zelda and thereafter to find the elder, Sahasrahla, and collect all 3 Pendants of Virtue in order to be able to obtain the Master Sword. As the Master Sword is obtained, Princess Zelda is kidnapped by the Wizard, Agahnim, and the Loyal Sage at the Sanctuary is mortally wounded. Link must then continue to Hyrule Castle to battle Agahnim where he is cast into the Dark World after victory. In the Dark World, Link must collect all 7 crystals in which the maidens and Princess Zelda (all descendents of the 7 wise men) are trapped in and use their powers to break the seal around Ganon's Tower and battle Agahnim for the 2nd time. Once Agahnim is destroyed, Ganon is unleashed from his body and the final battle takes place in the Pyramid.
