So it begins! The next leg of this journey has us finding three points in Hyrule to complete the trial of Mipha’s Song. Their locations are on each side of the triangle but you need to figure out where. I did and what you see here is proof. Head for Ja’Abu Ridge for a pedestal and then Kass tells you of the tale.
“One, find what the light’s path shows. Two, conquer the ancient foes. Three, chase rings of the waterfall. Champion, the trials call!”
For the first one, head to Ulria Grotto, climb out and head for the cliffs that overlook four islands. Meet with Tottika and Muzu who give you a clue. Sit at the campfire until morning and look at the ocean. You’ll see a blue portal. Head for it and the Kee Dafunia Shrine opens. Complete that to receive one of Ruta’s blessings.
The second one has you going to Toto Lake. Look west to find Guardian Skywatchers and as you head up a Guardian Turret. Pack your Guardian Resist armors, some ancient arrows (and Ancient Bow) and take them down. Doing this will awaken the Sato Koda Shrine. That one’s a bit tricky so expect a while.
The third is rather easy. Make sure you have the Zora Armor. Head for Mikau Lake to find a new glowing portal. Go through and another portal appears along the waterfall. Swim up, provided you center yourself under the portal. It makes it easier. Keep going, passing through all the rings until you reach the Mah Ella Shrine. That one’s a tough cookie but with what I’ve done, it’s a bit of a challenge.
Once you obtain all the blessings, head back to Divine Beast Vah Ruta. Then you have a boss fight against an Illusionary Waterblight Ganon. The only difference is that you are limited in weapons and items so you will need to improvise. Thankfully you can use Urbosa’s Fury to stun the sod and deal damage to it. That works.
Beating it completes the challenge and his song invokes a memory from long ago and Mipha’s Grace becomes Mipha’s Grace +. The recharge time for it is cut in half.
We’ll tackle Daruk’s Song in Part 3.
