Just a short video showing how to easily beat these normally tiresome beasts and save some weapon ammo. As far as I know, wooden shields should work just as well, but I wasn't able to use them due to me being in a fiery area.

Update: From my tests throughout the game, the more durability your shield has, the more leeway you have to perform a Perfect Guard. I started to notice this when it took me multiple tries (while going through Hyrule Castle) to perform one with a Pot Lid, but managed to do it in one try with the Hylian Shield. It can be done on Guardian Skywatchers, but it may take a bit longer to take them down due to their constant movement, so it's better to use Ancient Arrows on them.

Q: How do you perform a Perfect Guard?
A: Lock on with ZL and with good timing, press A to reflect the attack back.
