Yep. This here’s one whole part so you get to see me kick butt at the first dungeon, Woodfall Temple.
In each of the four dungeons, you need to find 15 Stray Fairies. They can be found in chests, enemies or heck even in plain sight. Have the Great Fairy Mask so that way they can come to you easily. We get the Hero’s Bow, useful for picking off enemies from a distance.
Unlike the original Majora’s Mask, the bosses in this game have different patterns and weak spots. You need to use certain skills to expose them and deal damage. In Odolwa’s case, being Deku Link and going airborne while dropping Deku Nuts on the back of its head will ensure its exposure. Once it’s exposed, return to normal and attack it. You’ll need to make sure you deliver a lot of hits to it. The process will repeat but it’ll get tougher. Eventually it’ll weaken and it’ll give you a chance to get a clean hit via Deku Nut drop. After dealing enough damage, Odolwa will be defeated.
You’ll earn a Heart Container as well as Odolwa’s Remains. You also learn the Oath to Order and that’s needed at the very end. Of course we still need to save the monkey so if you have a spare bottle, put the Princess in it, go to the Deku Palace but not before going to the Fairy Fountain of Woodfall. Once the Great Fairy’s restored, you’ll obtain double magic power. In the original, it’s an enhanced spin attack. Just a reminder folks.
Once you reach the Deku Palace, release the Princess and she’ll order the monkey freed. Next episode is where we have more sidequests to get heart pieces,
