The Lightreaper is not intended to be defeated for the first during the first encounter when he is encountered on a dragon's back. It is part of the main progression to be defeated by The Lightreaper through his number burn and ignite attacks. He is later again encountered in Fitzroy's Gorge. The encounter begins with a breath of fire that leaves a trail that can build Ignite upon contact. The Lightreaper also has the ability to open up a portal and disappear into it to reappear elsewhere in the combat area and catch you by surprise. While mounted, the winged mount can also dive and knock you down if you are caught in the landing area. You can dodge out of the way to avoid contact and damage. For the first part, continue to avoid its fire breath until the Lightreaper hops off his mount.

Stay close for when he unmounts himself. There will be a brief idle period before he begins his first action, usually by finding a position in the combat area. While on foot, the Lightreaper wields a set of dual blades that can deploy a ranged attack. he is also able to cover distances very quickly while dealing a combination of melee attacks. On foot, he will have great mobility and speed and will be able to dash while attacking.

With each proceeding melee attack, you will be able to keep backing up or blocking them while waiting for the attack animation to complete. If you return to this location following its defeat, the Lightreaper can no longer be found here. After defeating the Lightreaper at this location (Fritroy's Gorge), the boss will disappear and he will move on to the next location at the outskirts of Bramis Castle- Upper Calrath Plaza, where the final encounter will be.

UPPER CALRATH PLAZA

During the third encounter, he will display the same attacks and actions for the most part so you can deal with him the same way. However, during this encounter, the Lightreaper will have the ability to slowly recover himself throughout the fight until you destroy the Umbral entity above the fight otherwise it will be difficult to make progress during the fight. This is a unique feature of the encounter in this location.

Once you return to face him, make sure you stay close and approach him aggressively. Learn his attacks so you can dodge accordingly. At a distance, you can rely on ranged attacks. He generally also dashes away before dealing a ranged attack.
