This level is either hard or easy, depending on how well you can fight Hyenas. IF you can fight them well, it's a breeze, if you can't, you gonna die.

The Lion King is a vastly underrated Disney Game. While not to hard, it catches most people off guard due to the subject matter. In my view, the only truly hard level is the Lave Stage during Adult Simba's life. For the most part, controls are solid, though jumping can be awkward and there is the occasional platforming issue. Once you get used to it, I think you'll find it to be a good game overall.
