"The Little Guy" ~Soundtrack Medley~ from The Little Guy (Original Game Demo)
(((READ BEFORE RATING!)))
The music represented here is an example of some of the original compositions that I wrote for game design classes between 2006 and 2008, while assigned other duties for the related projects. Most songs for these projects were created in less than a day with little experience with the keyboard interface, so production is minimal.
A story about a middle-class Japanese businessman whose job is replaced by a machine, The Little Guy is a first-person brawler/shooter demo designed specifically for a game design class. Players control ex-employee Samuyan Gai to unleash vengeance on the shady corporation that fired him. The soundtrack, created solely on the Yamaha Motif ES8, features music blending traditional Japanese, rock, and blues in a unique way. The drumlines are Yamaha stock, but all other elements are completely original.
