Stam Fine Reviews looks at the 1987 James Bond adventure, The Living Daylights. The film was Timothy Dalton's first appearance as 007 and was an evolution of the 80's films that had starred Roger Moore, just with most of the humour removed, like Augustus Gloop's sugar-rotted molar. It's a solid James Bond film- not 5 star, but certainly competitive. Also stars Maryam D'Abo, John Rhys-Davies, and Jeroen Krabbe.
James Bond follows the trail of a defecting Russian General, and meets Kara, a professional cellist, but one who's an amateur sniper.
