42Here I review a video game called The Lone Raider on cassette tape for the Atari 8-bit. I am playing the game on a 1983 revision B Atari 800XL.
The game was written by Justin Whittaker, and the game was released in 1983 by Atari Corp Software Products Division UK.
It was a pack in game with the Atari 800XL.
When the game loads there is music and sound effects playing from the tape, which is quite unusual, not many cassette games on the Atari 8-bit did this.
The game is a 2D three part arcade action platformer. You destroy aliens with a Sonic Laser, there are 10 ranks to pass through as you progress from leaner to master level.
I think this is a great classic game.
