4 MAY UPDATE: The first two episodes of Story Mode is due to be released 1 August 2017.

The Long Dark Story Mode release date has been pushed back a lot over the last year or so, but now the wait might be over as the developers announce a countdown to a date in early May, without saying exactly what it actually means!

Muddying the waters is the fact they have also announced there will be another sandbox update before The Long Dark Story Mode release date, so what exactly does this countdown mean? Find out as we speculate wildly in this video, or just wait a couple of days or something. I dunno.
