After a difficult production cycle, "The Marvels" finally opened in theaters to less than stellar results. It ended up being the worst opening weekend for the MCU despite being a sequel to a film that broke a billion dollars at the box office. Though I think a major factor to "Captain Marvel's" success was the hype of "Infinity War" and "Endgame" surrounding it. It also didn't help that while I don't think it's the worst MCU movie (*cough* *cough* "Thor: Love and Thunder" *cough*) it's definitely one of the weakest with a meandering script and jokes that don't land.
