Netflix hasn't had the best track record when it comes to adapting anime for live action but the recent One Piece adaptation managed to exceed expectations by being fun and a faithful adaptation. Having the original creator on board helped too. They did change a lot to fit the new format but they embraced the imaginative world Oda created instead of trying to shy away from those elements. Here's hoping other western studios can learn a thing or two from One Piece LA.
