Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe know that Paul Rudd plays a hero, but there was one before him! We’re talking about the original Ant-Man, scientist Hank Pym. We saw him in action during a flashback but some comic book fans are annoyed that we skipped over his crime fighting career. This man was one of the original Avengers in addition to being a complex and compelling character and yet we just skipped right over him? Maybe they just really wanted Michael Douglas in the role but couldn’t afford the cash to digitally de-age him any more than they already did! Not only did we miss out on him, but we didn’t get to see much of Janet van Dyne as the Wasp which is a shame. Her daughter Hope van Dyne does an admirable job but it’s not the same as the woman who came up with the term Avengers. Was this all a plan to get Cassie Lang upgraded to the hero Stature status early or is there another reason we skipped over the first hero to wear the suit?
