Here's a surprise video for speedrunner of the 8-bit No OoB category of this game: a segmented community run! I have been working on this project off and on ever since I started learning the game almost 2 weeks ago. Whenever I learn new speedruns, I'm always interested in analyzing many runs to see what the fastest strats are from all the different strats people use. Doing this instead of watching only WR or a tutorial broadens my knowledge of the run from the get go so I know what my options are and decide from there what I'm comfortable going for depending on what my goal is.

As much as this speedrun has been optimized, it is still quite a new game and can still be optimized further. I took about a dozen PB videos from 8 different runners and grabbed all the fastest screens and put them together. The end result is quite impressive and am excited to see where the speedrun times end up after this "segmented run" is released. Of course, since I only used these 12 runs from the top runners, there will most likely be a lot of faster strats missing. Things that come to mind right away are faster Ninja Village (I've heard people have gotten somewhere around high 1:45/low 1:46) and Autumn Hills Spike Tower Skip (no one has been crazy enough to do it in a run yet). With this 1st version, I wanted to present a realistic theory run based on what the top runners have been doing, but if you guys have clips of faster screens, I would gladly add them into a 2nd version that I might release later.

NOTE: There was a 4th shuriken used near the end of Tower of Time that I accidentally didn't notice. Luckily, it only saved 0.1s, so this run would still be a 31:48 without it!
