If you think The Messenger is like Ninja Gaiden, you are sadly mistaken. The ONLY similarities are that you play a ninja (one that wears a blue/purple dogi,) you use a sword, have a shuriken that uses resources, and cut scenes. Everything else in the game steps away from Ninja Gaiden and does it's own thing. The graphics are like 32-bit or 64-bit pixel graphics and are gorgeous. The controls are quite questionable and I discuss them in the review. Overall a 6/10, the controls really bring this game DOOOOOOOOWN!
