The Minish Cap Randomizer ~ Weekly Race ~ Non-progressive swords
For this week's race we decided to try out a few different settings. The most significant of which is non-progressive swords.
Non-progressive items means you can obtain a later stage of an item separately from the earlier stages. This mostly applies to swords as it allows you to get the four sword and later upgrades of the white sword before ever finding the base sword.
Open wind crests allows you access to all of the wind crests without having to reach the area and open them up. This allows for quick access to areas like Cloud Tops Wind Tribe and Castor Wilds assuming you find the ocarina early on.
Closed golden fusions locks the areas that require golden fusions. This makes Wind Ruins and Fortress of Winds completely inaccessible. Also, Veil Falls, Cloud Tops, and Palace of Winds can be locked, but combined with open wind crests may still be accessible.

Dungeon shuffle randomizes all of the dungeon entrances with each other. This allows you to access dungeons that would otherwise always be late in seeds extremely early, leading to a lot of new opportunities for routing.
Open fusions considers all minor kinstone fusions as already complete, so it opens up a ton of chests and item caves all over the world.
Rupee mania puts all of the free standing rupees into the item pool, greatly increasing the amount of checks available.
Obscure locations are locations that contain a hidden item. These include digging spots, underwater items, and items inside pots.
Damaging items seen as weapons allows items such as bombs and the bow to be considered for combat. The main change is that it allows the first sword to be found deeper into the seed.
