The Most ADDICTIVE Coding Game Ever
89If done right, coding can be really addictive. I experienced it on my own skin with this programming game. As simple as it looks it can be deceptively difficult, especially presenting itself as a sort of a clicker game.
The best thing about this game is that it really makes the player want to improve at coding and optimize the code. Clean it up, do some meaningful refactoring, and just enjoy the whole process.
In this video, we unlock a few brand new game mechanics like the fertilizer or sunflowers and we also go ahead and implement a self-sufficient watering system as well as plant the sunflowers. Those present themselves as an awesome deal since they unlock some much-needed power, which we need for a few crucial upgrades.
All of this is not however as simple as it sounds. The sunflowers need to be harvested in a specific order forcing us to write a quite sophisticated algorithm to handle these constraints and still profit.
