The most average AOE2 player in the world is ranked 23505 out of 47009 at 1011 Elo. Here, I commentate one of their 1v1 ranked multiplayer games using Capture Age.

I have a sneaky feeling that this player may be better than his average elo ranking. what do you think?

Using the median average, the average player in AOE2 has 1011 Elo. Using the mean average, the average AOE2 player has 1044 elo. Do you think that it's fair to say that to be classed as a mid-elo player, you should be 1000+? Or do you think this is still low elo legend territory? Personally, I don't think you can argue the maths, 1000 elo is mid elo, average, player level and below this would be low elo legend.
