"The Most Dangerous Game" (1932) [Pizza and a Movie]
I don't think I'm alone in the fact that my highschool literature class read this short-story together. I was aware that it'd been made into a film a few times, but this version from the 1930's is SICK! The story is classic and simple, of course, and the performances are kind of corny, but that really is a part of the fun. For as early as 1932, the cinematography is actually very good: clean, beautiful shots that convey the suspense and action very well. I definitely wouldn't call this a work of genius, but it was definitely a lot of fun and I recommend it!
