The Most REALISTIC SWORD FIGHTING Game, but it's MULTIPLAYER
Hellish Quart is hands down the most realistic sword fighting game ever made – and today, I’m diving into its chaotic multiplayer mode with my friend and fellow YouTuber Koifish. Using motion-captured sword fighting, physics-based combat, and brutal 1v1 duels, this game turns every match into a tense, cinematic showdown.
Can we master the blade or will we both lose limbs in 3 seconds flat? Either way, it’s hilarious.

Hellish Quart is a physics-based fighting game focused on realistic 1-on-1 sword dueling. It uses active ragdoll and real-time physics to simulate the movement and collisions of blades, characters, and animations, creating brutal and fluid fights. All animations are motion-captured from real sword fighters to ensure historical accuracy and natural combat flow.
Set in the 17th century, Hellish Quart features a range of swordsmen from different cultures and backgrounds, each with unique weapons and fighting styles. Whether you're slashing with a sabre, thrusting with a rapier, or dodging with a quick step, every move matters — one clean hit can end the match.
The game supports local multiplayer, single-player duels, and AI opponents, making it perfect for couch battles or mastering your skills solo. Hellish Quart utilizes active ragdolls and real-time physics to get you the ultimate fencing experience. You can attack from four different angles using the four gamepad buttons. Different button combinations enable special attacks and combos. When you are not attacking, your character automatically assumes a defensive stance, blocking your opponent's attacks using the autoguard feature. Proper timing, technique, speed, measure, and wits are all crucial to winning, just like in real-world fencing.
The game is set in the historical 17th-century Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and the character models are based on 3D-scanned reconstructed clothes from that period. The single-player campaign, once completed, will be firmly rooted in the reality of life in the region. You will duel against Zaporozhian Cossacks, Polish Hussars, Tatars, Turkish Janissaries, Swedish Reiters, French Musketeers, and more.
