41Hello and welcome to a brand new series and challenge for 2025.
The NES Top 40 at 40!
A celebration of one of the most iconic consoles of all time the Nintendo Entertainment System. In 2025 both myself and the NES celebrate our 40th anniversary and to celebrate over the course of the next 12 months I’m going to build my dream NES collection made up of my 40 most wanted games!
There are no rules for this collection, I’ll be visiting independent games stores as well as CEX and anywhere I can find NES games, and it’s just the 40 games we’re hunting for, I’ll also be hunting for any bonus hidden gems, forgotten classics or games recommended by you, the viewers!
This time we’re hitting the road again on the hunt for NES games, as the hunt this time begins at Norwich Video-game Retro Market where we manage to find some bargain games and then our hunt takes us to London as I attempt to sneak in some gaming hunting while in the nation’s capital!
But that’s not all we also have a rather unexpected and random CEX roulette and finally this time I manage to add not only one of my most wanted NES games to my collection m, but also one of my most wanted games period!
I have wanted to play this game for years and now I finally can!
Now this series is not just about collecting games, it’s also about playing games and I’ll be playing every game in this collection, some of which for the first time ever in 40 years at the end of each episode so stick around for some retro gaming!
