On November 20, 1985, the original Windows, Windows 1, made its debut in the digital world. It was a modest beginning, with a graphical user interface that marked a departure from the command-line interface of its predecessors. Fast forward to October 5, 2021, the day the desktop version of Windows 11 was released, and it became evident that the evolution of Windows had come full circle. The stark contrast in design between Windows 1 and Windows 11 was astounding. The latter showcased a sleek, modern interface that redefined user expectations, with a centered Start menu, translucent layers, Live Tiles, and a streamlined, minimalist taskbar. The journey from Windows 1 to Windows 11 exemplified a remarkable odyssey of innovation and aesthetic refinement. Windows 12 changes the game with its consistent user interface and features.
